Why Choose a Charter?

Chartered fishing trips are an excellent way to experience fishing on Cape Cod. Without your own boat, rods, reels, or local knowledge, fishing on Cape Cod can be a challenging endeavour. Charters allow you to access the Cape’s awesome local fisheries from the comfort of an experienced captain’s vessel!

Charter Fishing FAQs

Should I book a charter in advance?

Yes! The best captains book months in advance. Give your chosen charter a call or visit their website well before your trip to make sure you can secure a spot on board.

What should I bring on a chartered fishing trip?

Generally, it is a good idea to bring sunscreen, closed-toed shoes or deck boots, an extra layer like a hoodie or jacket, and dramamine if you are susceptible to seasickness. Always ask your captain beforehand if they have any clothing or comfort recommendations for your trip.

Do I need my own rods & reels to fish with a charter?

Almost all charter vessels provide quality rods and reels for their customers to use free of extra charge. Party boats may offer rental equipment for customers; call ahead to be sure.

How many people can a chartered trip accommodate?

It is typical for most “six-pack” charters to have space for around six vessel occupants. Larger party boats can accommodate more anglers.
